Four Points provides IBI (Intensive Behavioural Intervention)
therapy, more commonly known as Applied Behavioural Analysis (or
ABA), to families with children who may have a diagnosis of Autistic
Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or a developmental disorder (e.g., speech and language delay or disorder, learning disability, general developmental delay, etc.).
Four Points is a family funded private agency and has been
approved by the Government of Ontario to offer IBI Therapy under
the Direct Funding Option (DFO). Families may qualify under this
plan to receive partially payment for direct therapy and qualified supervision from Four Points.
Generally, IBI (or ABA) refers to working in a structured way with
children with autism, either one-on-one or in small groups, so that
each child receives a high level of behavioural intervention with
clearly defined strategies and goals.
Systematic behavioural teaching methods are used to build and generalize
skills. Programs are individualized to the needs of each child,
with changes made based upon direct measurement of each child's
learning.
We offer:
- Program Development and Supervision for Home-Based ABA
- Centre-Based ABA for Preschool and School-aged children
Families who have a child with a diagnosis of ASD or other developmental disorder, and who
live in one of the following regions may be within out cachment area for services:
Ontario Services
- Toronto
- Peel
- Halton, and
- Hamilton-Wentworth
